After-hours season pass enquiry agent
Problem
Season pass interest does not arrive between nine and five. It arrives after a televised win, during the evening a schedule is announced, and on weekends. A supporter who calls at nine in the evening reaches a voicemail greeting, and a meaningful share of them never call back. The intent was real but momentary. Nothing records that the call happened, so the organisation cannot see the size of what it is missing. For a growing property with a small ticketing team, this is the single largest source of silent leakage in the funnel.
Product idea
A voice agent that picks up outside office hours, answers the questions that make up most of the volume (pricing tiers, what a pass includes, payment options, seating areas, concession eligibility), and, when the caller wants a person, captures the detail properly: who they are, how many seats, which area, any access requirements, and when they would like to be called. That becomes a structured record waiting in the queue at 9am rather than a voicemail someone has to interpret. Callers who prefer another language get one.
Who it is for
Ticketing and membership teams at organisations whose enquiry volume outruns their staffed hours, particularly women's leagues and emerging properties growing faster than their headcount.
Possible first version
A single phone number with out-of-hours routing, a knowledge base built from the existing ticketing FAQ, structured capture of caller name, contact, seat count, preferred area and callback window, an emailed morning digest of overnight enquiries, and a plain dashboard showing what was asked. Callback booking against a fixed set of slots rather than live calendar integration.

Questions we get asked
Will supporters be annoyed that they reached a machine?
Some will, which is why the agent says what it is in the opening line and offers a person immediately if asked. The comparison that matters is not agent versus human: no human is available at that hour. It is agent versus voicemail. A supporter who gets a straight answer about pricing at nine in the evening is better served than one who leaves a message and waits two days. Anyone who wants a person gets a booked callback rather than a queue.
What stops it from giving out a wrong price?
It can only answer from content your team writes and owns, and it has no permission to improvise. Where an answer is not in that content, it says so and captures the question for a person. That is a deliberate design constraint rather than a limitation: an agent that confidently invents a concession rate creates a problem far more expensive than the enquiry it handled.
Does it take payment or issue tickets?
No. Version one captures no card details and completes no purchase: payment stays entirely on your existing compliant channel. The scope is answering questions and capturing intent. Handling money over an automated voice line brings in card security obligations and refund exposure that are not worth taking on before the basic value is proven.
How would we know whether it is working?
The metric agreed before build should be enquiry-to-conversation rate, not call volume handled. A useful side effect is that you will have out-of-hours demand data for the first time: how many people call, when, and what they ask. That number alone often changes the staffing conversation, whatever happens with the agent itself.

- Abandoned season pass application recovery workflowA workflow tool that flags season pass applications abandoned online, sends a timed reminder, and hands unresolved ones to a box office agent as a tracked task.
- Accessible seating and concession enquiry chat assistantA chat assistant on the ticketing site that answers accessibility seating and concession eligibility questions at any hour and hands off a structured enquiry to the box office instead of losing the applicant at a stalled online form.
- Natural-language reporting tool for the season ticket baseA tool that lets ticketing and membership staff ask plain-English questions over combined sales, renewal and scan-in data, replacing the one-off spreadsheet pivot built for each board question.
